Daniel holds a Masters Degree in Music Composition and a K-12 Music Teaching License with Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where he served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. He also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
As a saxophonist, Daniel recently won a Downbeat Magazine Outstanding Student Performance Award in the Pop/Rock category.
Daniel is a native English speaker and learned conversational Spanish as an exchange student in Argentina while in high school. He is interested in meditation, sound design and recording. Daniel currently resides in Amherst, MA with his wife and two young children.
